Food was pretty good. Not always fresh. It was buffet style though. Amazing art work including gorgeous etched glass scenes through out the restaurant.Very decent sushi bar, good soups and desert bar. Service was good.

I'm pretty upset how our trip to this place was. I could not believe how over priced they were. To top it off they charge for a drink when other respectable Chinese buffets come with your meal for free and they charge less!So let me set the stage. Apparently they stop serving lunch at 3:30. We get there at 3:15, enough time to seat us and get some food and eat. At this point there is no food to choose from because of lunch to dinner transition. Keep in mind we wasn't told that lunch was going to be over. In the middle of our meal a older Chinese man comes and states "We are not serving lunch any more" hands me the bill and says "you cannot have dinner food or I will have to change you." At this point he proceeds to tell other customer that they will have stop getting food because of the dinner change over. I could not even believe what was going on. We were getting kicked out off a buffet restaurant. Unbelievable! The party that was in the back was also getting kicked out because of this horrid procedure they have. I tell you what, I will never go there again. That's a promise. If I could rate this place any lower then a 1 star I would without a heart beat!

I don't normally leave bad reviews... but with our delivery order I didn't have much of a choice. The lady on the phone was very friendly and so was the man who delivered the food. That is were my complements must stop however. We told them we were ordering for a family of four and we had to add a couple of things just to make the delivery requirements. When we got our food there was only one fortune cookie. When you have two little kids this is an annoying problem. The food also came all clumped together in one container. so all of the sauces were mixing together. We divided up the food and sat down still hoping to enjoy our dinner. With the first bite of my egg roll all I got was a mouth full of cabbage. I LOVE egg rolls and I have eaten them all over the world. I have never had one as bad as this. The only meat I could find was a couple of peppercorn sized grey/brown things. The sweet and sour chicken was rather tasteless and dry. Thankfully it was good enough the kids would eat it. The crab ragoons were my husband and I's favorite part of the meal. It was the only thing that didn't taste like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 min. All I can say is I will not be trying them again and I am sorry we wasted our $40.

First time there. Seems like they are charging a lot for cheaply made food. Tastes bad and I can tell they are substituting thing to lower their but cost. Would have rather ate McDonald's.

we were there a little late that day around 8:30 to 9, we were ok with the food left there, but everyone is busy on cleaning up and no one come to take our dishes and re-fill water, but they are closing at 10:30 ! what is wrong with you!I think they have good choices if you go in right time, however, if you come to Anchorage late, just don't go there.

My father is good friends with the owner and I can see why. We met the owner's wife and she was so kind and sweet. We walked in and felt special and well taken care of. Chinese buffets are usually not high on my list of highly rated places, but her service and attitude changed my mind about it all. They prepared delicious crab and clams for us and just treated us like kings and queens. The food at the buffet was good and fed our bellies well after a long day hiking the glaciers. Even if the food wasn't amazing, the service was great. If you are looking for some good quality people to know, ask to speak to the owners. I am unsure of the other staff that works there as I didn't encounter them really, but I was really happy as I walked out the doors of this place. Thank you China Lights for treating my family so well. :)

It was 8:30 at night and the food was mostly lukewarm and there were hardly any choices--almost every serving dish was empty. People were stalking the sushi area and as soon as a plate came out, if you weren't the first 3-4 people up there, you didn't get any. The food they did have was just okay, not even good. Perhaps it would have been better if it were hot? Who knows. Kogi is much better--they don't have Kalbi anymore b/c it's too expensive, but their bulgolgi and kimchi taste like mom's! (Mom is Korean, btw. :))

This place was great, and the food tasted amazing, I could go on and on, but as far as chinese food in Anchorage, this is my new favorite. Havnt tried the sushi yet but it looks great, even though it may be pricey. ...?
